This lecture is designed to help you understand how to use SlapOS Master for managing Baseband Units (BBUs) and Remote Units (RUs) via the Network Management System (NMS) integrated with the ors-amarisoft software release.

 

Panel Usage and Navigation

 

  • URL: Panel (https://panel.rapid.space or your SlapOS Master Panel address)
  • If the SlapOS master you are using has mail server configured (e.g. https://panel.rapid.space), you can create new account. Else, you need to ask the administrator to create an account with password for you.
  • Steps:
    • Enter your credentials (username and password).
    • Click "Login".

How to Access Servers

  • Navigating to the Servers Section:
    • Locate the "Servers" tab on the navigation menu.
    • Click "Servers" to view a list of available Servers.
  • Listed servers:
    • node-1: COMP-0 installed with Frontend, Re6st-registrty, and SlapOS client configured. 
      • DO NOT modify anything in it
      • Advanced usage: SSH into the server and use SlapOS client command
    • amr-bbu0: COMP-1 installed with BBU services

How to Access Projects

  • Navigating to the Projects Section:
    • Locate the "Projects" tab on the navigation menu.
    • Click "Projects" to view a list of available projects.
    • Selecting a Project:
      • Click on a project ("TOP Virtual Master") to view details
  • All the servers and services (even the invalidated services) will be listed

How to Access Services

  • Navigating to the Services Section:
    • Locate the "Projects" tab on the navigation menu.
    • Click on a project ("TOP Virtual Master") to view details
  • Listed servers and services
    • Servers: reference started with "COMP-"
    • Services: 
      • bbu0-ENB: ENB configuration and RU configuration
        • bbu0-ENB.CELL
        • bbu0-ENB.cell.peer
        • bbu0-ENB.RU
        • bbu0-ENB.x2peer
      • bbu0-Health: server health monitor

How to Access Services

  • Services: 
    • bbu0-ENB Instance Tree: Change eNB ID, Add MME list, Add PLMN list(4G), Fluentbit configuration, Add SSH public key
      • bbu0-ENB.CELL shared/slave instance tree: Change bandwidth, frequency, etc... The ENB.CELL instance operates in conjunction with the RU. Please keep in mind that this Cell configuration pertains to which specific RU
      • bbu0-ENB.cell.peer shared/slave instance tree: Add a neighboring cell relative to cell_ref by specifying it in parameters
      • bbu0-ENB.RU shared/slave instance tree: Adjust CPRI parameters, DL/UL antennas, TX gain, Carrier activation
      • bbu0-ENB.x2peer shared/slave instance tree: Add X2 address
    • bbu0-Health Instance Tree: server health monitor

How to Access Worklists

  • If there are any issues with your servers or services, you will receive a support request ticket in your worklist. It is important to promptly address all open tickets to ensure smooth operation and maintain service reliability.
  • "Received Events to Deliver" can be ignored
  • Navigating to the Worklists Section:
    • Finding Support Requests:
      • Locate "Worklists" tab.
    • Viewing and Managing Support Tickets:
      • View a list of support tickets with details like ID, status, priority.
